April 26th, 2024

 

Boyd's Creek will hold revival Friday, April 26th, through Sunday, April 28th. The evangelist will be John Smith and there will be a men's prayer breakfast Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. at Shoney's in Glasgow.

 

 

 

April 27th, 2024

Mt. Olivet Baptist Church will be having Spring Revival Thursday, April 25th - Saturday, April 27th, at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, April 28th, at 11:00 a.m. with a fellowship meal after service.  Bro. Bobby Wood will be preaching.  There will be special singing each night.  The church is located on Cub Run Hwy, 3 miles west of Munfordville.

Munfordville Tourism Commission welcomes everyone out to the Cherry Blossom Festival, which will take place on the square on Saturday, April 27th. Vendors, concessions and a good time are set for all... come on out and enjoy.

 

May 2nd, 2024

Thursday, May 2nd is National Day of Prayer.  You're invited to gather at the Hart County Courthouse lawn for a special service at Noon.  Several area church leaders will be a part in the event.  For more information, call 270-670-7725.

 

May 3rd, 2024

A benefit is being held to help a family with funeral expenses and a headstone, Friday, May 3rd, at 5:00 p.m. at C&J Cafe, located at 698 Crail Hope Road, Shady Grove. There will be BBQ sandwiches, hotdogs, baked beans, slaw, and drinks, along with an auction and cake walk. Raffle tickets will be sold as well. For more information, call 270-565-2654.

Hart County Solid Waste announces the 2024 Free Large Item Drop-Off Dates on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12 p.m.

 

May 4th

June 1st

July 13th (second Saturday)

August 3rd

Examples of Free Large Drop-Off Items:

couches, chairs, recliners, mattresses, box springs, tv, tables, dressers, large furniture.

Paint: must be mixed 50/50 with cat litter or sand

Metal: metal is free year round

Large Appliances: Free year around (refrigerators, stoves, washing machines, dryers, most dishwashers, water heaters microwaves and grills)

There is a charge on all household trash, construction debris, building materials, carpet and tires.

Whickerville Baptist Church Youth Group yard sale and bake sale will be held Saturday, May 4th, from 8 to 2 at the church. There will be clothes, home decor, toys, etc. and clothes will be $2 a shopping bag. Bags will be furnished. For more information, contact Bro. Brock Stilts at 270-670-4301.

 

Kevin Spencer and We're Blessed will sing at Lighthouse Church in Horse Cave Saturday, May 4th, at 5:00 p.m. The pastor is Bro. Bobby Neal.

 

Munfordville City-Wide Yard Sale... Saturday, May 4th...  Neat finds and deals.  Set ups are available around the square.  Get in touch Munfordville Tourism for more details and to reserve a spot.  Vendors are welcome, too!  The website munfordville.events is the place to go and sign up.  Follow the Munfordville Tourism Facebook page for updates.

The Turner Family from Bowling Green will sing at Free Bethel General Baptist Church, on Saturday, May 4th, at 6 PM.  Pastor Richard Blair welcomes everyone.

 

 

May 5th, 2024

 

The Coulter Family, from Brother Danny Patrick's church in Scottsville, will be singing at Lighthouse Church in Horse Cave Sunday morning, May 5th, at 11 am. Brother Bobby Neal is the pastor and the church is located at 680 Old Glasgow Rd ( rd. 1846) Horse Cave.

 

 

 

May 6th, 2024

 

Clothes for Kids Radio Auction 2024 will be held during the week of May 6th.

 

Auction items are needed, along with baked goods and can be brought to Studio 101 WLOC radio station in Horse Cave.

 

Suggested items include: crafts, gift certificates,

country hams, theme baskets, toys, tools, home

decor, and homemade baked goods.

Clothes for Kids is a non-profit organization and

serves the nine family resource centers in Hart

County and Caverna schools.

The American Red Cross needs your help in 2024 as a volunteer.  Around 1,000 people in Kentucky and Southern Indiana make up the organization's force of response and support.  Folks to help as disaster action team members and blood donor ambassadors are especially needed.
