Bro. Tim Eaton will preach at Pleasant Union United Baptist Church in Brownsville Wednesday, April 23rd, at 7:00 p.m.

Feeding America monthly commodity food distribution for Barren County residents will be held Thursday, April 24th, at Cave Area Conference Center in Cave City from 8 am to 11 am or until the food is gone. You will need to bring proof of a Barren County address.

Saturday, April 26th, 2025

The KY 86 yard sale is set for Saturday, April 26th. The event stretches 26 miles from Cecilia in Hardin County to Irvington in Breckinridge County.

The Children's Business Fair will be held at Munfordville First United Methodist Church on Saturday 9am-1pm. The event is open to the public. Come out and show your support for upcoming young entrepreneurs. The church is on KY 88 just east of Hart County High School. The Children's Business Fair is hosted by Hawks Homeschool Co-op, in partnership with the Acton Children's Business Fair. For more information, call 270-576-7132.

Annual Customer Half Off Tire Disposal Event will be held Saturday, April 26th, provided by Hart County Solid Waste. The hours are 8 am to 4 pm. The location is at the Dropoff Center. The customer discount will be limited to 10 tires. Anything over 10 tires will be full price. Customer must provide proof of Hart County residence with current bill card or Hart County driver's license to get the discounted prices. If you have any questions, call 270-524-5178.

 

Benefit for Monroe Missionary Baptist Church will be held Saturday, April 26th, at Alvey's Towing & Recovery at 9478 Happy Valley Road, Cave City. Please bring your own chair. A car show and swap meet will be held 9 a.m. to 12 noon with prizes, entry fee is $20. All vehicles are welcome including motorcycles, ATV's and tractors. There will be a gospel singing featuring KT&T and the Sextons from 2 to 5 p.m., along with other local singers. Udderly Delicious ice cream truck and Big M Grill will be there and enjoy a live auction from noon to 2 p.m. with proceeds going toward repair costs for the church flooring. The church pastor is Bro.  Outdoor Gospel Singing will be held under the tent at Grab A Hook Pay Lake & Grill Saturday, April 26th, at 3:00 p.m. Singers include: the Joyful Echoes, Singing Sisters, Friendship Youth Choir, Kyle Doty, We're Blessed & Les Milby. KT&T from Mayfield will sing at Faith Independent Church Sunday, April 27th, at 11:00 a.m. The church is located at 230 Boyd's Knob Road, Munfordville. The pastor is Bro. Joey Sexton.

 

Jeff Sneed Trio of Glasgow will sing at Victory Missionary Baptist Church in Hendersonville, TN, Sunday, April 27th, at 2:00 p.m.

 

Tuesday, April 29th, 2025

Revival night at the Lighthouse Church will be held Tuesday, April 29th, at 6:00 pm. Brother Joseph Henderson from Morgantown will be preaching. The Harpers will be singing and Brother Bobby Neal is the pastor. The church is  located 680 Old Glasgow Rd, Horse Cave.

 

Thursday, May 1st, 2025

National Day of Prayer will be observed Thursday, May 1st, at 11:00 a.m. on the Hart County Courthouse Lawn in Munfordville. There will be several speakers offering up prayer for our community. Everyone is welcome to participate.

 

May 3rd, 2025

Whickerville Baptist Church Youth Group Yard Sale & Bake Sale will be held Saturday, May 3rd, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be clothes, shoes, home decor and clothes will be $2 per bag and the bags will be furnished. For more information, call Bro. Brock Stilts at 270-670-4301.

Jeff Sneed Trio of Glasgow will sing at Eulia General Baptist Church in Westmoreland, TN, Sunday, May 4th, at 6:00 p.m.

United Quartet will sing at Southside Baptist Church Sunday, May 4th, at 6:00 p.m. There is no admission. The church is located at 2727 Scottsville Road, Glasgow. A love offering will be taken. For more information, call 270-670-5144.

Hart of Autism fundraiser "Straight from the Hart" will be held May 10th at Floral Hall at Hart County Fairgrounds in Munfordville. There will be a dinner with a silent and live auction. Donations are being accepted. For more information, call 270-537-5381.

Open House Event for LeGrande Elementary School has been postponed.  The event will be rescheduled prior to the May board of education meeting which will be held at LeGrande Elementary School on Thursday, May 15th.

The Singing Cookes are celebration 63 years of singing gospel music. They will be at 11030 Raider Hollow Road Friday, May 16th, at 6:30 p.m. Concession stand will be available and there will be seating inside, but you may bring a lawn chair if you wish to sit outside. June 1st, 2025

Middle School and High School age kids will be at Salem Baptist Church for Youth Serve 309, Sunday evening, June 1st, through Wednesday, June 4th. Please join us for a week of serving the community with service projects and joining together each night for worship. The church is located at 90 Salem Church Road, Cave City.

 

July 6th, 2025

Vacation Bible School will be held at Salem Baptist Church in Cave City Sunday, July 6th, through Thursday, July 10th, at 5:30 p.m. nightly. The week begins with fireworks and a cookout event Sunday evening and Bible school is available for all ages. For more information, call 270-773-2346/

Hart County Senior Center is open Monday thru Friday from 8am until Noon and offers daily meals, activities, exercise equipment use and other great services like informational programs on current issues affecting seniors. For more information and to take advantage of these free community services, call 270-524-1019. The senior center is closed on Holidays.

Bookmobile service from the Hart County Public Library continues expanding! The service is open to any resident of the county and is especially helpful to those with a busy schedule or has trouble getting out. Call 270-524-1953 to request service or ask questions. You can also visit hartcountypubliclibrary.us for more information.

Hardyville Union Church Community Cupboard is open 24/7 for donations and distribution. The exchange dropbox is located in front of the church on US 31E in Hardyville and is open for everyone. Leave what you can and take what you need. Anyone wishing to donate should leave canned and pre-packaged foods that are store-bought only.

Anyone diagnosed with type-two diabetes and obesity is welcome to see if they are eligible for assistance through participation in the University of Kentucky’s Rural Diabetes Study.
